If not for the computer, and the techniques used in this cutting-edge procedure, the woman would not have had a knee replacement. Dr. Lahav said “she is doing great. She has no pain and is walking well.” The Milford Hospital orthopedic surgeon said the patient had a rod placed in her femur years ago that could not be removed. “She had significant arthritis in her knee where she was a candidate for a knee replacement.
