TB, AIDS Study Prep Gets MD Assist

When an international TB and AIDS study kicks off next year in Russia, it will have the guidance and input of Milford Hospital’s VP of medical affairs, who is also the medical director of the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. Lloyd Friedman, MD, Yale University Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Pulmonary & Critical Care section, and TB expert, visited Russia in August as an investigator on a project to determine the prevalence of tuberculosis and AIDS in street youth in St. Petersburg.
